Shoppers are amply catered for by Knowles Super Spar, St John's Checkers centre and Pinecrest shopping Centre, which are huddled in a five-kilometre radius of the civic centre, library and bus and taxi ranks off the Old Main Road. About 26% of recent buyers in Pinetown are aged between 18-35 years old and 35% are middle aged, between 50-60 years old.
